On March 27, during routine border patrols, the crew of the State Border Guard Service's maritime protection boat discovered an empty inflatable boat in the water. Upon closer inspection, the border guards saw a man clinging to the side of the vessel, trying to pull himself out of the water. This was reported by the Maritime Guard of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

Due to the cold water temperature, the victim was rapidly losing strength. The sailors promptly pulled him aboard, provided necessary assistance, and warmed him up with hot tea. It was revealed that the man had fallen into the water due to his own carelessness. The boat was towed back to shore.

"The rescued individual is in satisfactory condition and did not require medical assistance" - noted in the statement.
