Autumn rains and strong winds present additional challenges for municipal services. Workers are operating in heightened mode on the streets of Odesa.
Eight teams from the Municipal Enterprise «City Roads» are mobilized in the city. Their primary task is to ensure the unobstructed flow of rainwater. They clear stormwater drain grates of leaves and debris that accumulates during rainfall.
Today, 46 units of special equipment and 328 employees of the enterprise are involved in the operations.
The cleaning of stormwater drainage systems is carried out regularly, both manually and using heavy equipment from the «City Roads» enterprise: excavators, graders, and hydraulic units for flushing pipes.
Workers from «Housing and Communal Services» are also engaged in clearing drain grates near residential buildings, sweeping up fallen leaves, and removing debris from adjacent areas.
Additionally, around 180 employees from the Municipal Enterprise «City Green Trust» work daily to maintain order in the city’s green spaces. The bad weather has already caused 3 trees to fall and has broken many branches.
Landscape workers are involved in cutting down and removing fallen trees and branches, as well as cleaning up fallen leaves from parks and squares.
