A forum titled «Fostering a Culture of Mental Health Support» took place at the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushinsky. This initiative is part of the nationwide mental health program «How Are You?» launched by Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska.

The main aim of the event was to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and create a platform for sharing experiences.

The event saw participation from over 40 attendees in-person and more than 100 online. Among them were students, psychologists, educators, and community activists.

The opening remarks were made by Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Dmytro Radulov, University Rector Andriy Krasnozhon, and program coordinator Anna Velychko. They emphasized the need for consolidated efforts in the field of mental health and the special role of youth in building psychological resilience within society.

The agenda featured interactive activities, thematic discussions, and practical tools for mental well-being support.

The event was moderated by Andriy Bortov, head of the Center for Mental Health, who shared recent statistics regarding requests for mental health assistance.

At the end of the event, participants engaged in a gratitude practice, creating a symbolic «Gratitude Tree» with personal wishes and messages of support.

The forum highlighted the growing interest in mental health topics and the importance of continuing such initiatives in the region.

The development and implementation of the mental health program «How Are You?» is coordinated by the CMU Coordination Center for Mental Health with expert support from the World Health Organization.
