From March 24 to 28, Chernivtsi hosted the brightest young philologists of Ukraine for the IV stage of the National Olympiad in Ukrainian Language and Literature.
Among 136 participants from 24 regions, the winner was Anastasia Didyk, an 11th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum No. 38, guided by teacher Olena Maksutina.
Anastasia impressed the jury with her solid knowledge, creativity, analytical skills, and deep passion for her native language.
From March 31 to April 4, Chernivtsi also hosted the IV stage of the National Student Olympiad in Geography, with about 150 participants from all over Ukraine. The competition consisted of theoretical and practical rounds.
The prize winners included:
- Kateryna Sulima, a 9th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum No. 117 (teacher Serhiy Shulevskyi);
- Artem Pastoshchuk, an 11th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum No. 9 (teacher Svitlana Yastremska).
Ksenia Huivan, a 10th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum “Marijinsky”, received a participant diploma and invaluable experience for future successes.
Artem Pastoshchuk also received a special award for the best coverage of the topic “The Phenomenon of Urban Heat Islands.”
Additionally, the winners of the IV stage of the National Student Olympiad in Biology were announced, involving over 170 students from 8th to 11th grades across all regions and Kyiv. The closing ceremony took place in Lviv region.
Second-degree diploma was awarded to Anna Vidova, an 8th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum No. 117 (teacher Liudmyla Ihnatieva).
