On November 9, Ukraine celebrated Cultural Workers and Folk Art Masters Day.
A pleasant development for this occasion is the agreement for cooperation between Odessa libraries and the Regensburg library system.
“The library project aims to establish foreign literature halls in the branches of Odessa libraries, shaped by our sister cities. The Regensburg library will be the first pilot project”, noted Ivan Liptuga, Director of the Department of Culture, International Cooperation, and European Integration.
Next year, one of the Odessa libraries will feature a German literature hall showcasing the history of Regensburg.
The sister city, Regensburg, will assist in filling and organizing the hall's activities, hosting joint events, and publishing interesting works by German authors.
A similar corner of Odessa will be created in the libraries of the sister city.
